What is a food safety zone ?

Definition

Food safety zones are areas that are declared by the government to protect people from harmful bacteria. A food safety zone includes any area where a member of the public is at risk of becoming sick or developing a disease such as E.coli, salmonella, and listeria. Food safety zones ensure that crossing over one line doesn't mean you're going to have an outbreak of these diseases. It's important to keep track of where you are in order to practice safe food handling practices at all times.
